The Men of Medina - Volume II is an English translation work by Aisha Bewley, of Volume 5 of Muhammad Ibn Sa'd's magnum opus Tabaqat al-Kubra.
Written in the 2nd century of Hijrah, Ibn Sa'd biographies of the earlier generations of Muslims in Medina, Syria, Iraq and Egypt are told in the form of narration from the succeeding generations and regarded as one of the most trustworthy records of the lifetime of the Sahabas (Companions), the Tabi'in (Successors) and Tabi' Tabi'in (the generation after them).
